WELCOME

Save Crystal Corrupted is my personal space on the web. I treat it as an active archive to document my technical projects, share my ongoing interest in Linux and retro gaming, and maintain a quiet corner of the internet that is entirely my own. In an era where the Dead Internet Theory feels increasingly accurate, this site is my effort to step away from automated feeds and fake users. It is just a genuine, hand-built space for computers, gaming, and having fun with technology.

Everything logged here is a reflection of a diagnostic mindset. Whether it is tracking down a mechanical issue in the real world or figuring out why a custom shell script refuses to execute, the core drive is the same: identifying what is broken and quietly making it work again. This site acts as a live ledger for that ongoing process. From terminal experiments and private server configurations to testing emulation layers for classic MMOs, it is a place to document the trial, the error, and the eventual fix.

Beyond the technical logs, this site is also a dedicated home for my lifelong connection to video games. Much of my free time is spent configuring classic MMORPGs like Final Fantasy XI and Phantasy Star Universe to run smoothly on modern Linux builds using compatibility layers like Wine. I enjoy the hands-on challenge of modifying retro titles, mapping physical controllers, and keeping older games alive on current hardware. Whether I am testing connectivity for private servers or documenting the technical workarounds needed to get these classic online worlds running, gaming remains a central piece of what keeps this archive growing.

The Big Move

Welcome to https://www.savecrystalcorrupted.com/! We've moved to our own service away from Neocities with a fresh DNS. Added a history of my profile pictures to the About page. I found a screenshot of another website I did called Instance Zero. I've added it to the website history on the About page.

Final Fantasy XIV Page

Add a new page for Final Fantasy XIV under the Linux Gaming section. I've removed it from the Linux-Tested MMORPGs list for this dedicated page.

Added a new background image from Betty's Graphics. I changed a lot of CSS in both the main pages and the Phantasy Star IV pages. I recently purchased a new monitor, and jumping to a 3440x1440 ultrawide resolution made me realize that I really needed to update the responsive design of the site. So, it is now much more responsive to mobile devices as well. However, the archive selector will only be available on larger devices. The Music page in the Phantasy Star IV section still has some issues with the Webamp client, and I still have to rework a few tables. I will be working on fixing these bugs in the near future. If there are any layout issues with different viewports, please do not be afraid to contact me using the information on the About page. I will try to fix any problems as soon as possible.

KamTape

I came across this project called KamTape. It is a video hosting website that tries to bring back the classic, old-school style of early YouTube. I will start uploading videos here alongside my main YouTube channel, which will be a great home for my future project video logs and gameplay clips. About Page

I added my Codecademy certificate for "Introduction to Ethical Hacking" to the About page. That will be my last certification for now, as I am stepping away from the coding bootcamp route. Instead, I added a new section for IT learning resources and challenges called "IT Resources and Studies." Right now, I am actively going through LearnCpp.com to build a stronger foundation in programming. I have also added a text link pointing to the newly updated Web Links page.

Phantasy Star IV Music Page

I have added a Webamp client to the Music page of the Phantasy Star IV section. It is a browser-based client of the legacy Winamp software that also features an amazing Winamp Skin Museum, though it can be very tricky to get it to do exactly what you want. I am currently using the "Rika" Winamp skin by Simon "Ring LS" Neofitou to perfectly match the site's aesthetic. I have also added a direct download link for the complete Phantasy Star IV soundtrack so you can listen offline.

Web Links Page

I have overhauled the text links section of the Web Links page, converting them into screenshot links for a much more visual browsing experience.
Added a link button for Betty's Graphics to the Web Links page. You can get various graphics, backgrounds, and clipart with a fantastic 90s style from her archive, which I actively used for this site's recent design changes.
I also added a custom link button created by me for KamTape on the Web Links page. It is a passion project dedicated to bringing back the old style of YouTube, and it is quickly becoming one of my favorite alternative platforms.
I added a text link for LearnCpp.com to the Web Links page. I am currently using this website extensively to help with my programming studies in C++, which is incredibly helpful as I work on coding my own game projects from scratch.
I added a text link to Webamp on the Web Links page, alongside a link button for DOKODEMO. DOKODEMO is where I originally found the documentation on how to embed Webamp into my own website, and their page features a highly interesting, unique design that is worth checking out.
I added a link button to Zorrpu.com to the Web Links page. The site is full of Mii content and art galleries, and the creator's own wife serves as the site mascot, giving it a really fun and personal touch.
I moved The Cyber Vanguard from the About page to the Web Links page and included a text link for it. It is a fantastic website that has a lot of great tech, IT, and cybersecurity resources to explore.
